Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with SpanglerBuilt — from first call to final walkthrough.

How long does a typical kitchen remodel take?

Most kitchen remodels take 6–12 weeks from the start of construction. The timeline depends on scope and material lead times — custom cabinets typically have 6–10 week lead times. SpanglerBuilt provides a detailed schedule before work begins and tracks every milestone in the client portal.

Do you handle insurance restoration projects?

Yes. SpanglerBuilt manages insurance restoration projects for water damage, fire damage, and other covered losses. We work directly with adjusters, document scope thoroughly, and carry all required licensing. Contact us to discuss your claim.

Are you licensed and insured in Georgia?

Yes. SpanglerBuilt Inc. holds Georgia General Contractor License GCLT-CO000567 and carries full general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We are licensed to work in Fulton, DeKalb, Forsyth, Cherokee, Cobb, and North Georgia counties.

What's your typical project size range?

SpanglerBuilt handles residential projects from bathroom remodels ($15K–$65K+) through full custom home builds ($400K–$1.5M+). Most of our projects are in the $40K–$300K range — kitchen and bathroom remodels, basement finishing, additions, and whole-home renovations.

How do you handle change orders?

All change orders are documented in writing with a revised scope and cost before any additional work begins. Our client portal tracks every approved change order against the original estimate, so the final invoice never contains surprises.

What is your design/build process?

SpanglerBuilt handles design coordination, permitting, and construction under one contract. We start with a consultation and site visit, develop a detailed scope and estimate, coordinate with architects or designers as needed, manage permitting, and run construction through final punch list and certificate of occupancy.

What is the difference between Good, Better, Best, and Luxury tiers?

SpanglerBuilt's tier system helps homeowners make informed material selections. Good-tier delivers solid quality at entry-level pricing. Better-tier upgrades to name-brand fixtures and improved material quality. Best-tier moves to premium brands, custom options, and higher-end finishes. Luxury-tier is bespoke — custom everything, top-of-market materials, and the highest level of finish.

Do you pull permits for every project?

Yes. SpanglerBuilt pulls all required permits on every project. Working without permits creates liability for homeowners and can complicate home sales. Permit management is included in every estimate.

How does the client portal work?

SpanglerBuilt's client portal gives homeowners real-time access to their project's schedule, budget, selections, and documents. You can track milestone payments, approve change orders, view daily progress updates, and message your project manager — all in one place.

Do you offer warranties on your work?

SpanglerBuilt provides a 1-year workmanship warranty on all projects. Manufacturer warranties on materials and fixtures pass through to the homeowner. We stand behind our work and make it right if anything falls short.
